Sustainable Farming
Expect Great Changes
The issue of sustainable farming is quite a heated topic because it plots the Northern versus the Southern regions of Brunello: two regions that are economically different. The South has had numerous tobacco facilities shut down in recent years due to government regulation of tobacco and the loss of funding that kept their production running. There has been a great deal of outrage shown towards the federal government because of this lack of effort towards re-sustaining these important facilities. The heated part of this debate comes from whether to gain this funding from the federal government, or whether to gain this funding from the territory where the issue is confined.
If I became president, I would reinstate this funding by issuing a more progressive tax across the nation that would generate enough money for the federal government to revamp the struggling tobacco plants. The reasoning behind the use of a progressive plan is to tax the wealthier class at a higher rate than the lower class. The industrial production in the North would continue to skyrocket, while the cash crop production in the South would get back on its feet.
